If your dog is new to the Dog Lodge we request you bring them along for a free 24 hour trial before their stay. This allows you to see our facilities and make sure you dog(s) will settle in happily. You will need to bring their microchip details & proof of up to date vaccinations and treatment for worms and fleas/ticks with you, otherwise your dog will not be able to stay for a trial.
Veterinary treatment will be sort for any injury or illness where deemed necessary, at our discretion. All fees will be payable by the client. Where possible we will use your own vets, otherwise we will use White Lodge Veterinary Clinic, Minehead.
Every effort is made to ensure there is no fighting between dogs, however there remains the possibility of this occurring.
Dogs are allowed to run free on daily walks in the fields, please advise if your dog chases wildlife including horses, sheep, pheasants etc. Please be aware wild animals or farm animals may be loose in the grounds.
All dogs staying at Dog Lodge are housed together and allowed to roam freely on their walks.
We do require that all visiting dogs are fully vaccinated, wormed and free of fleas before arrival. Therefore we ask for you to bring full vaccination details with you TO EVERY VISIT.
You will be asked to sign a form confirming you are happy that all dogs staying at Dog Lodge are housed together and allowed to roam freely on their walks and you accept risks are involved with this method of boarding.
We do not accept raw meat for meal times, unless it has been tested e.g. commercial, due to the risk of diseases such as salmonella.
If your dog is known to have a history of aggressive tendencies then we are unable to board them. Furthermore, should your dog bite/injure another dog/animal or human being then you would be liable for this.
Unfortunately, we are unable to board dogs that are of the following breeds: Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Rottweillers or Dobermans or any crosses with these breeds.
