Dog Lodge – Terms & Conditions
To ensure a safe and happy stay for all our guests, please read the following:
Trial Stay for New Dogs
All new dogs must attend a free 24-hour trial before their first full stay.
Please bring:
Microchip details
Proof of up-to-date vaccinations, including flea, tick, and worming treatments
Dogs without documentation cannot stay.
Vaccinations & Health
All dogs must be:
Fully vaccinated
Wormed and flea-free
Bring vaccination records every time your dog visits. Entry will be refused without them.
Veterinary Treatment
If your dog becomes ill or injured, we will seek vet care at our discretion (your vet if possible, otherwise White Lodge Vets, Minehead).
All costs are the owner's responsibility.
Group Boarding & Walks
Dogs live and walk together as a group and are generally off-lead.
We have limited space for dogs that:
Must stay on-lead
Pull excessively or can't be let off-lead
You'll be asked to sign a form acknowledging the risks of group boarding.
Wildlife Awareness
Please let us know if your dog chases wildlife or livestock (e.g. sheep, pheasants, horses), as these may be present in nearby fields.
Bitches in Season
We cannot accept bitches in season or within 3 weeks after their season ends.
Feeding
We feed premium kibble (Duck & Rice or Salmon & Rice).
You're welcome to bring your dog's own food, but raw diets are not allowed due to health risks.
Aggression & Liability
We do not accept dogs with a history of aggression.
Owners are fully liable if their dog bites or injures another dog, animal, or person.
Breed Restrictions
Unfortunately, we cannot board the following breeds (or their crosses):
German Shepherds, Huskies, Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, Patterdale Terriers, or Dobermans.
